The quaint fishing
village
Baan Bang Bao is
built on stakes far out
into the bay and has
become quite a popular
attraction. Many seafood
restaurants offer a rich
selection of fresh
seafood and small shops
sell souvenirs or
refreshments.
The village has a clinic
(opening-hours: 8.30 am
- 4.30 pm , no
telephone) and just
outside on the road is
the school and local
temple
Wat
Bang Bao. |
Roughly a kilometer
southeast is a
viewpoint, which offers
a beautiful view into
the bay and the village.
Directly behind there is
a beautiful sandy beach
where there was still no
accommodation in April
2002. The beach is some
100 metres long and
usually quite quiet. |
